The project was focused on the microstructure - mechanical properties relationship for metallic foams. The aim of the project was to investigate the mechanical properties of metallic foams under dynamic and static loading with respect to foam microstructure. The investigation was performed on almost the same samples to avoid the porosity effects, heterogeneity and anisotropy effects. The next scientific goal of the project was the simulation and modelling of the investigated behaviour. Further, the project objective was to intensify the already existing cooperation between the Romanian and Slovak teams.
