As part of the official visit of our colleagues to the Technical University of Riga in Latvia on March 14-15, 2023, the main goal of which was to establish cooperation in the field of submitting and solving projects, Ing. Naďa Beronská, PhD. gave a presentation on "Microstructure of Cu-WLa2O3 composite electrodes prepared by pressure infiltration" she presented the institute, research groups and topics we are working on. Based on this presentation, it was found several common topics for our successful collaboration in the future. In turn, Ing. Kateryna Kamyshnykova, PhD. had an open lecture for bachelor students entitled “Processing and properties of TiAl-based castings”. The presentation showed the practical application of TiAl-based alloys and the importance of the combination of Alloy design, Microstructure, and Properties for a wider industrial application of these alloys.
Moreover, the return visit of our Latvian colleagues led by Prof. Victor Mironov has been already planned for the 28 of April 2023.
