2017 - The beginning
Since its beginning in 2017, the project has gained a lot of popularity among pupils, especially for the friendly and immediate approach of young scientists at the Institute and the opportunity to perform interesting experiments.
In 2017 at Insitute of Materials and Machine Mechanics SAS, pupils could see a short presentation about materials, their origin, evaluation, and importance of their properties improvement. Moreover, pupils could try to prepare samples for microstructural analysis using optical and electron microscope by grinding, polishing and etching. Finally, they investigated the chemical composition of the 1 euro coin.
